Eastern Medicine Educational Resources in the United States
Jonathan A. Carter

Just as Kinesiology has moved from a narrow focus of movement pedagogy to an interdisciplinary, scientific and philosophic examination of the human body and human movement, Americans are broadening their horizons in terms of the health care decisions.  As increasing numbers of people turn to herbs and natural methods of healing, the field of acupuncture and oriental medicine is emerging as one of the most accepted and popular alternatives to western medicine.  With their focus of study on the human body as a whole, kinesiologists have a great background with which to enter the field of Oriental medicine.
